In December, Blondie's received a pay or quit notice, which Blondie's owner Abdul Zaloukh allegedly ignored."

The pizzeria was sold to Zaloukh, a longtime employee of Blondie's, in 2016, who briefly renamed the former chain Abe's Pizza, only to later switch it back to its original moniker. A single Abe's Pizza location continues to operate at 940 Market St. in San Francisco."
