March events springing up in downtown Campbell
"The eighth annual Taste of Campbell, a fundraiser for the Campbell Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), is set for Sunday, March 28, 3-6 p.m., at the Campbell Community Center. The event features bites from a variety of Campbell food establishments and pours from local wineries and breweries, as well as a silent auction and live music by the Cocktail Monkeys."
"Brown forged an unexpected new life after the execution of her abolitionist husband John Brown. Her journey led her to California, where she spent her later years in Saratoga."
"Attendees can learn about how to get involved by acting as docents and greeters, gardeners and special event helpers or serving on the Campbell Museum Foundation Board. Current volunteers and museum staff will be on hand to answer questions and share their experiences."
Campbell Community Center hosts three upcoming events in March. The eighth annual Taste of Campbell on March 28 features food from local restaurants, beverages from wineries and breweries, silent auction, and live music, with proceeds supporting Campbell CERT's citizen first-responder training programs. History Happy Hour on March 13 presents educator Tonya McQuade discussing Mary Brown, wife of abolitionist John Brown, who relocated to California and spent her later years in Saratoga. The Campbell Museums host a Volunteer Recruitment Mixer on March 26, inviting community members to learn about volunteer opportunities including docent roles, gardening, event assistance, and foundation board service.
