Aiden Barragan, Silver Creek soccer: The sophomore scored a goal in Silver Creek's 2-2 tie with Harker. Brady Clugage, Archbishop Mitty basketball: Clugage scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Mitty's 62-55 win over the King's Academy."
Bay Area News Group operates a boys Athlete of the Week poll that lists standout high-school candidates each week and accepts reader voting. Voting by bots or other artificial methods is prohibited and suspicious activity can cause disqualification or permanent suspension of the poll. Votes by email and votes received after 5 p.m. Wednesday are not counted; polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Winners publish each Friday online and in print. Nominations are accepted via highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. Monday and submitted MaxPreps statistics are reviewed. Nominees include notable basketball and soccer performances from Dec. 15-20.
