"Whitebridge AI just has a very shady business model aimed at scaring people into paying for their own, unlawfully collected data,"
"Under EU law, people have the right to access their own data for free."
"processing of scraped personal data and AI generated false information."
An Austrian privacy advocacy group filed a complaint with the Lithuanian data protection authority requesting a ban on Whitebridge AIs processing of scraped personal data and AI-generated false information. The complaint alleges violations of GDPR Articles 5, 6, 9, 12, 14, 15, and 16. Whitebridge AI asserts full GDPR compliance and claims to collect only publicly available information while respecting data subject rights. The complainants and the advocacy group contend that much report content appears derived from social media and searches not considered manifestly public under European case law. Whitebridge offers reputation reports and real-time monitoring; two individuals requested access under Article 15 and reportedly received no response, prompting a purchase and review of the reports by the advocacy group.
