Elise Chabbey achieved her first WorldTour victory by winning stage 2 of the Tour de Romandie Féminin. She outpaced Urška Žigart in a sprint at the end of a challenging 12km ascent to La Tzoumaz. The victory came after a tight race where both riders were together until the final stretch. Yara Kastelijn finished third, just behind Žigart. Overnight leader Paula Blasi and race favorite Juliette Labous struggled and were distanced early on. Žigart now maintains the overall lead, ahead of Chabbey by eight seconds as the final stage approaches.

Chabbey and Žigart were neck and neck for the entire 12km ascent, with Chabbey ultimately winning the sprint by three seconds.
Yara Kastelijn finished third, crossing the line three seconds after Žigart, while overnight leader Paula Blasi and Juliette Labous lost ground early in the race.
Urška Žigart is now leading the race by eight seconds over Chabbey, with Kastelijn in third, trailing by 13 seconds heading into the final stage.
