Red Hat has introduced a free developer subscription, named Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Business Developers, allowing corporate developers to access up to 25 instances of RHEL specifically for development and testing purposes. This program emphasizes non-production use and builds on the existing Individual Developer Subscription, which previously offered production use for a lesser number of instances. Users will receive access to product features and documentation but will not have support from Red Hat. Unlike its predecessor, the new tier exclusively restricts use to development and testing without additional offerings.
Red Hat announced a new type of free developer subscription for its enterprise distro, allowing developers to get up to 25 instances of RHEL for development or testing use only.
The new scheme, called Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Business Developers, is aimed at developers inside corporate organizations and provides no production deployment.
