Lego Transformers Optimus Prime And Bumblebee Get Limited-Time Price Cuts
"Transformers fans can add the 1,508-piece Optimus Prime Lego figure to their collection for $157 (was $180). Based on the Autobot's iconic Generation 1 appearance, Lego Optimus Prime is a 2-in-1 model that can be converted from robot to truck. Lego's 950-piece Bumblebee figure has the same kind of 2-in-1 functionality, allowing fans to convert the fully assembled build from robot to car with a series of twists and folds."
"In August, Lego launched a 1,505-piece Soundwave figure, its first Transformers Decepticon 2-in-1 model. Soundwave can convert into a retro cassette player, so it's rather fitting this is the only one of the three Transformers Lego models with a speaker brick that plays lines of dialogue and sound effects. Soundwave arrived at major retailers in October, and despite selling for its full $190 MSRP, retailers have had a hard time keeping Soundwave on their shelves."
Two Lego Icons Transformers models are discounted at Amazon: the 1,508-piece Optimus Prime figure is $157 (was $180) and the 950-piece Bumblebee figure is $72 (was $90). Optimus Prime and Bumblebee are 2-in-1 builds that convert from robot to truck and robot to car, respectively. Lego launched a 1,505-piece Soundwave in August that converts into a retro cassette player and includes a speaker brick with dialogue and sound effects. Soundwave sold for its full $190 MSRP and has been hard to keep in stock; Amazon restocked it on December 22. All three sets target adult collectors or experienced builders.
