Birmingham City has signed Kyogo Furuhashi from Rennes for an undisclosed fee. The Japan international agreed to a three-year deal after the club's promotion to the Championship. Furuhashi had an impressive record at Celtic, scoring 85 goals in 165 matches, and was the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership for the 2022-23 season. Previously, he joined Rennes in January for £10 million but returned to the UK shortly after. Birmingham has also bolstered its squad by signing other players including Bright Osayi-Samuel, Demarai Gray, Tommy Doyle, and James Beadle.

Alongside Furuhashi, Birmingham City has signed several players including Bright Osayi-Samuel, Demarai Gray, Tommy Doyle, and James Beadle, strengthening their squad for the Championship.
