Amazon is expanding same-day delivery for Amazon Pharmacy to nearly 4,500 locations nationwide, adding about 2,000 cities and towns by the end of 2026. Amazon Pharmacy launched in 2020 across 45 states and reached some locations in all 50 by 2023, with ongoing expansion to increase same-day coverage. The recent expansion adds same-day delivery in Idaho and Massachusetts. Amazon offers home delivery for most brand-name and generic prescriptions and launched RxPass, a $5-per-month generic subscription for Prime members. The company is testing in-office medication kiosks at One Medical locations to address pharmacy deserts, which affect about 15.8 million people and disproportionately impact socially vulnerable populations.
