Identical sunflower belt buckles with a detachable knife inlay are sold on Shein for about a quarter of the price. Multiple AI clues include robotic, emotionless voice, impossible sewing actions, and a tear wipe where the liquid disappears. Dozens of similar TikTok accounts with different AI characters share comparable backgrounds and product narratives, including an account named “Aliyahsbuckles.” The Verge identified similar scam accounts on Instagram and Facebook, with automated responses that sometimes mimic African American vernacular, and experts warn such scams are growing daily.
