Micherre Fox, a 31-year-old woman from Manhattan, discovered a 2.3-carat white diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. After spending several weeks searching the 37-acre field, she found the glistening gem on her last day. The diamond is significant as it is the third-largest of over 350 diamonds found at the park this year. Since becoming a state park in 1972, more than 35,000 diamonds have been unearthed by visitors, with the largest ever found weighing 40.23 carats in 1924.
