Louis Dreyfus Company has begun commissioning a pea protein isolate production facility near Yorkton, Saskatchewan, co-located with its existing canola processing complex. The facility will employ approximately 60 people by the end of 2026. The company is leveraging proprietary technology developed through in-house research and development to produce pea protein isolates, pea fiber, and proprietary pea starch. These products target multiple industries including food, pet food, building materials, and paper. The pea proteins are sourced from North American farmers with full supply chain traceability.
