From December 5th - January 11th, the tree will "come to life" and perform every half hour from 5-10pm. Synchronized to holiday music, the tree becomes a kaleidoscope of swirling color, adorned with thousands of specialty lights and ornaments."

PIER 39 features a 60-foot live Christmas tree in Entrance Plaza that performs every half hour from 5–10pm from December 5, 2025 through January 11, 2026. The annual tree tradition began in 1983 (except 2020). A tree-lighting kickoff occurs December 4, 2025 from 5–9pm with the first performance at 6pm. Roaming entertainment includes Christmas carolers, games, a special visit from Santa Claus, and live music by The Death & Taxes Swing Band. Visitors may bring to-go beer, wine, or cocktails from participating restaurants onto The PIER. Mid-November decorations, photo opportunities, and a dining discount provide one hour of validated parking.
