"In a post to Reddit, an AT&T subscriber shared the email they received about the increase. After explaining that "connectivity is our top priority," the company said it was increasing internet plan pricing "to ensure we continue providing the quality service and support you deserve." The email went on to say that this change might "require some adjustment" from subscribers and that "a variety of connectivity solutions and plan options" are available."
"After I reached out, an AT&T representative confirmed what those options are. If you're not already enrolled in autopay and paperless billing, you can save $10 a month by paying automatically with your bank account or save $5 a month by connecting a debit card. If you are enrolled in those programs, there doesn't appear to be any way to offset the increase."
AT&T is increasing nearly all internet plan prices by $5 per month, following a similar increase last year. The new pricing takes effect December 31, 2025. Some subscribers received email notices stating the change aims to maintain service quality and support. Customers not enrolled in autopay and paperless billing can save $10 monthly with a bank-account autopay or $5 monthly with a debit-card autopay to offset the rise. Recent sign-ups within the last year and households enrolled in the AT&T Access low-cost program are exempt from this increase. Many customers have limited alternatives for home internet service.
