Interview: Rolf Krolke, CIO, The Access Group | Computer Weekly
Briefly

The Access Group, a leading UK software company with a substantial global presence, is embarking on a significant storage refresh project. With an extensive record of acquisitions resulting in a complex IT environment, the company aims to replace legacy storage systems with modern Pure Storage all-flash arrays. This consolidation will be conducted across 10 global data centers, managing tens of petabytes of data. The initiative seeks not only to enhance data management via a single-supplier solution but also to address the varied infrastructure challenges that arise from rapid M&A activities in a growing organization.
Because we've grown through M&A, we end up with lots of different infrastructure, lots of different-sized companies, at different maturity levels. [That means] we have data everywhere, [so the challenge is] how do we bring that together?
We're embarking on a storage refresh project that will see our legacy systems replaced with Pure Storage's all-flash arrays. This change aims for better data management across our platforms.
