The six-piece, limited edition run references the industrial materiality found in Ron Arad's most provocative work with the same curiosity while leveraging new technologies to execute fresh forms originally conceived with the help of virtual reality. ""Translating ideas to physical products can be the most fun part of the process, as I work closely with skilled artisans to find solutions to create the collection," Pike says. "Often, feedback from the artisans guides the visual language, which I welcome with open arms." The Arnardo Desk assumes a monumental posture, planted firmly on two strong, mirrored pillars, which help retain a sense of lightness through its chrome finish."
The Arnardo Collection by Paddy Pike transforms lava-lamp-inspired, amorphous forms into six limited-edition chrome furniture pieces that blend sculptural aesthetics with utility. Designs were conceived through VR modeling and AI-based rendering, then handcrafted in Spain for STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN. Each contoured volume is polished metal with atmospheric interactions of light, color, and space, and features expert millwork for practical use. The Arnardo Desk uses mirrored pillars to balance monumentality and lightness while hidden drawer channels preserve an unmarred surface. The collection references Ron Arad's industrial materiality while leveraging modern digital-to-hand fabrication workflows and artisan feedback.
