Reflet reinterprets the Scandinavian advent candle ritual into two linear compositions that bring candlelight into everyday life. Hand-cast solid brass bases are sandcast to retain a rough, tactile surface while long, slender polished cylinders rise in clean vertical lines, creating a contrast of textures and a quiet duality of weight and lift. Each base is hand-poured and finished in small batches and left uncoated to allow polishing or natural patination over time. Cylinders are proportioned to a candle’s diameter to visually elongate the flame, lifting it above surrounding clutter, and are reversible and watertight to serve as slender vases.
