The Louvered House sits in Ahmedabad's harsh, arid landscape and directly addresses climatic constraints and rising domestic isolation. andblack design studio combines louvered facades, programmatic spatial arrangement, and orientated openings to control heat, light, and ventilation while maintaining visual permeability. The design reimagines the traditional relationship between built form and the natural environment by prioritizing experiences that tether occupants physically and visually to outdoor spaces. Living areas, circulation, and thresholds are configured to promote outdoor engagement, passive cooling strategies, and social connectivity, fostering a lifestyle that responds to climate demands while countering contemporary isolation.
