"Tom Alarcon Text description provided by the architects. Casa Puertecillo is a summer beach house for a large family. It is located on sandy, sloping terrain that descends toward the ocean. The site features a coniferous forest, which was preserved as much as possible through the project's design, particularly in its placement. At the time of taking on the project, the rough construction of the house was partially built, which helped us define the organizational axes of the project."

Casa Puertecillo is a summer beach house for a large family located on sandy, sloping terrain that descends toward the ocean. The design preserves an existing coniferous forest through careful placement and site planning to minimize tree removal. The house was partially constructed when the design team assumed the work, and that existing rough construction informed the definition of the building’s organizational axes. The scheme responds to slope and coastal orientation, balancing family program needs with site conservation. Project area is 400 m, completed in 2024, with structural engineering by Alberto Ramirez Covo.
