MOOV and COO are metal pendulum and cuckoo clocks built from perforated metal plates with evenly spaced holes that reveal moving pendulums and birds through openings. The perforations guide placement of hands and time indicators, aligning them with specific cutouts so the clock face and body read as one integrated surface. The clocks come in white, off-white, mint blue, and green, with higher-contrast hands for legibility. Bodies are formed using Niigata-region metalworking techniques such as cutting, bending, welding, and painting. Punched holes produce clean, consistent perforations, reduce weight for easier hanging, and shift the aesthetic away from heavy wooden cases.
