The proximity to the sea and the narrow corner of the site are typically considered non-negotiable constraints for homeowners. Yet, this family of a young couple and four kids took a leap of faith."

Tropical Tones approached such a site with a Tropical Modern residence in Azhiyur Village, Kozhikode, Kerala. The house occupies an 8-cent trapezoidal plot inside the Coastal Regulations Zone, about 100 metres from the National Highway. Proximity to the sea and a narrow site corner are typical non-negotiable constraints. A young couple with four children accepted those constraints and proceeded with the project, demonstrating adaptability and confidence in site-driven design.
