"Text description provided by the architects. The design had two main goals: to fully embrace the magnificent view of Lake Inari in the north, and to be affordable. To keep costs down, I arranged all the essential spaces as tightly as possible around a double height living area. With what was left of our bank loan, we managed to build 50 square meters of living space."

The design prioritizes two goals: fully embracing the northern view of Lake Inari and maintaining affordability. Essential living functions are compactly organized around a central double-height living area to conserve space and reduce construction costs. The arrangement minimizes circulation and maximizes perceived spatial volume despite a small footprint. Financial limitations constrained the project to 50 square meters of constructed living area. The composition balances generous visual connection to the landscape with strict spatial economy to deliver a modest, view-oriented home.
