E44 Laneway House is a 700 square-foot laneway residence designed as the first permanent home for a young couple and their cat. The design responds to the habits and nuances of both human and feline occupants, integrating circulation, living, and service areas within a compact footprint. Spatial organization prioritizes efficient use of space, daylight, and privacy while creating opportunities for the cat to climb, explore, and rest. Material and detailing choices modulate scale and comfort for small-scale living. Photography by Lucas Inacio documents the project executed by Imu Chan Architecture.
