Read on: Above: Snug winter bedroom of our dreams, spotted in Pine Island Cottage: A Refined (and Appealingly Rough) Lake House on Georgian Bay. Photograph by Alex Lesage."
"We're all eager to see The Testament of Ann Lee, a new film about the founder of the Shakers, out now-and the Shaker infatuation continues with a new exhibit at the ICA in Philly (co-organized with the Vitra Design Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Wüstenrot Foundation, and the Shaker Museum). Margot's eagerly awaiting Threads of Time: A Cultural Journey, a "visual feast" of a book by a couple whose RI place we featured way back when; out Dec. 30."
Winter imagery highlights a cozy Pine Island Cottage bedroom photograph by Alex Lesage. A new film about Shaker founder Ann Lee is now available, and a Shaker-focused exhibit opens at the ICA in Philadelphia, co-organized with the Vitra Design Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Wüstenrot Foundation, and the Shaker Museum. The book Threads of Time: A Cultural Journey will be released Dec. 30. Year-end sales include Schoolhouse and Toast. Selections include ten hotels of the year, a popular residential garden on Gardens Illustrated, and a Mexico City visit-worthy houses list. Sustainable suggestions cover five post-holiday Christmas tree ideas and a Leftovers Party with regifting.
