Hariri Pontarini Architects designed a 12-sided crystalline dodecahedron form to respond to the tower's prominent location at the foot of Yonge Street and the waterfront context. Glazed surfaces, a tapered profile, vertical fins, and a distinctive flying buttress create a sculptural presence and a visual counterpoint between tower and podium. Engineering solutions include a tuned mass damper to control sway and strategies to address wind pressure and the stack effect. The podium's curving form mirrors the lakeshore, anchoring the tower in its surroundings.
