A suspended installation creates slow movement within a fast dining environment by combining mechanical actuation, tensile transmission, programmed rhythm, and integrated lighting. The structure holds two natural phenomena in vertical tension: kite suspension above and blossom unfolding below. Instead of literal representation, the design extracts structural logic, tension, opening, lightness, and gradual transformation, then reorganizes them into a dynamic system. As the installation moves, its form subtly shifts between kite-like clarity in the upper structure and floral softness in the lower body. The movement is sustained and quiet, with brightness changes and rhythmic variation that feel like breathing. The system wakes at 10 am and rests around 11 pm, matching daily venue rhythms.
"The work 'wakes' at 10 am and gradually comes to rest around 11 pm, following the daily rhythm of the venue and giving the mechanical system a temporality that feels closer to life than to performance."
