The ultimate tool for playing GM and building a Cowboys roster
A 2026 Dallas Cowboys Roster Builder lets users manage a roster from 90 down to 53 players, including practice squad selection. Players can be cut by dragging them into a red “Cut Players” box, and a dead money tally updates to show dead money accrued from those cuts. Users can move up to 16 players to the practice squad by dragging them into the practice squad box, while the tool still allows placement beyond typical veteran limits. The roster count updates continuously. Users can reorder players within position groups and change position group assignments within specified areas, but cannot convert a running back into a wide receiver. An IPP player exemption affects total allowed roster and practice squad counts. A roster snapshot button provides a clean one-page view, and later cuts become increasingly difficult.
"DT Adedayo Odeleye is an IPP player with roster exemptions: If you keep him on the roster, you're allowed 54 players in total, if you put him on the practice squad, you're allowed 17 players in total on the PS. If you click on the "View Roster Snapshot" Button, you'll open an extra window with a clean version of your roster on one page. You'll find that the cuts get progressively tougher, and that you'll have to make some really hard choices as you get to your final three or four cuts."
