""Obviously, there are guys that we want to keep from last year," Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Tuesday, via Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Whether it's George Pickens or it's Javonte, those are all guys that play into the free agency picture. We've got work to do on the defensive side of the ball. Jerry Jones should act on pending unrestricted free agents George Pickens, Javonte Williams, and Jadeveon Clowney ahead of the March 11, 2026 free agency signing period. Legal tampering and negotiations can begin March 9, while teams may re-sign their own players earlier and a mid-February franchise tag window offers another retention option. Dallas can clear nearly $100 million in cap space this offseason to pursue multiple targets. Pickens earned second-team All-Pro honors with 93 catches, 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns. Williams topped 1,000 yards this year and could be targeted on a two-year deal. Clowney is also set to hit free agency.
