"Jadeveon Clowney led the Cowboys in sacks last season with 8.5 after they traded Micah Parsons a week before the season started. Chubb tore his ACL in 2024, but bounced back last season for Miami, and had the same amount of sacks as Clowney, 8.5. Prior to that though, he totaled 11 sacks in 2023 to go along with a league-leading six forced fumbles."
"You had the worst defense in football last year, and you cannot try and bank on two first round picks and a new coaching staff to fix it for you. This team has got to add at least one or two free agents, and Chubb would be a great fit for this team. It would be even better if you re-sign Clowney and use these two guys as your 1-2 punch at rushing the quarterback."
The Dolphins released two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Bradley Chubb after restructuring his contract, producing a $31.2 million cap hit for 2026. Chubb tore his ACL in 2024 but returned and recorded 8.5 sacks last season, matching Jadeveon Clowney's total. Chubb previously had 11 sacks in 2023 and a league-leading six forced fumbles. The Cowboys finished with the worst defense last season and saw Clowney lead the team in sacks after trading Micah Parsons. Dallas needs at least one or two free agents to improve its pass rush and could pursue Chubb; free agency negotiations begin March 9, with signings starting March 11, 2026.
