"At some point, the avalanche of breaks Philadelphia has been getting the last year and a half will turn against them. Probably about the same time that the NFL instructs its officials to properly call the Tush Push. It's bad enough all the false starts and offsides have gone uncalled. What still might save the Eagles is just how woefully bad the rest of the NFC East really is."
"Dallas Cowboys (3-4-1) The combined record of the three teams Dallas has beaten in 2025 is 6-18. The combined record of the four teams they have lost to, along with the one tie: 25-12-1. Five of the final nine games of the season will be against teams that will likely have winning records at the time the game is played. Denver had a winning record before, and after, beating the Cowboys on Sunday."
Philadelphia has benefited from an abundance of favorable calls and uncalled violations, including uncalled false starts, offsides, ignored fumbles and reversed interference rulings. The Eagles lead the NFC East 6-2 but face a tougher schedule ahead and risks of fortune turning against them. The Dallas Cowboys' wins mostly came against weak opponents; their losses came against stronger teams, projecting a possible 7-9-1 finish and an end to Dak Prescott MVP chatter. The New York Giants suffered a lost rookie running back and a questionable turnover, face another losing season, and Brian Daboll's job could be in jeopardy.
