Cowboys keep pace with Eagles in NFC East chase Inside The Star
"The Dallas Cowboys kept their slim hopes of winning the NFC East division alive with a solid 33-16 victory over the Raiders in Las Vegas on Monday night. With seven games remaining for both teams, Dallas is 3.5 games behind the Eagles. More importantly, they are only two games out of the final wildcard spot. The Eagles, meanwhile, are in a dogfight for the No. 1 seed in the NFC with the Rams. The Bears and Seahawks are just one game back."
"Dallas had a monster second quarter that pretty much sealed the game by halftime. It gives the Cowboys something to build on as they go through the toughest five weeks of the 2025 schedule. They host Philadelphia in five days, then the Chiefs four days later. This is followed by games at Detroit, versus the Vikings, and at the Chargers."
"Jameis Winston started for the injured Jaxson Dart and was 19-of-29 for 201 yards with one interception. Green Bay had to score a late touchdown to win the game though. Something for the Giants to build on in what will be a losing season."
The Cowboys beat the Raiders 33-16 to keep slim NFC East and wildcard hopes alive, sitting 3.5 games behind the Eagles and two games out of a wild-card spot. The NFC race is crowded, with the Eagles and Rams fighting for the No. 1 seed and several teams within one to two games. Dallas produced a dominant second quarter and now confronts a challenging five-game stretch including Philadelphia and Kansas City. The Giants fired Brian Daboll and showed some competitiveness despite a 27-20 loss to Green Bay, with Jameis Winston throwing for 201 yards.
