""Trevon and I sat down and we had a very detailed conversation on Saturday,""
""I told him not only the reasons why but also the standards and expectations.""
""This week, I showed them what they wanted to see in practice and it's still the same result,""
""I don't know what else I need to do or what to show. At this point I feel like it's not even, it's not up to me or what I do. It's really up to them, and what they want to do. I'm just showing up every day. I'm going to go to work.""
Trevon Diggs, 27, was inactive for the Cowboys' game against the Vikings after missing action since Week 6 due to a concussion and a knee injury that was not the same knee that required surgery in 2023 and 2024. Diggs was placed on injured reserve on October 25 and returned to practice at the end of November, completing two weeks of practice before being held out again pending another week before activation. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer reported a detailed conversation about reasons, standards and expectations, while Diggs expressed frustration at being held out despite showing what coaches wanted. Diggs signed a five-year, $97 million extension but has played just 19 games since signing, and his role with the defense remains uncertain.
