Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs out vs. Commanders after suffering a concussion at home
"The Dallas Cowboys have been ravaged with injuries in 2025. On Friday, it was announced they have yet another one in their secondary, and it's certainly a head scratcher. According to Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, cornerback Trevon Diggs will miss Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders due to suffering a concussion at home. Diggs has had his fair share of setbacks the last few years."
"He tore his ACL in 2023 after two games and missed the rest of the season. Last December, it was announced that Diggs would miss the remainder of the season and would need to have surgery on the same knee where his ACL injury occured. With this injury, 2025 will be the third consecutive season in which Diggs hasn't played a full season after signing a five-year, $97 million extension."
The Dallas Cowboys secondary lost Trevon Diggs to a concussion sustained at home, and he will miss Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders. Diggs previously tore his ACL in 2023 after two games and missed the remainder of that season. Last December he required surgery on the same knee and missed the rest of that season as well. The 2025 campaign will mark a third consecutive season in which Diggs has not completed a full slate of games since signing a five-year, $97 million extension. The injury creates opportunities for Kaiir Elam or returning second-year cornerback Caelen Carson to see increased playing time.
