Christian Parker was named Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator while the defense finished last in points allowed (30.1) and 30th in yards allowed (377). The Cowboys need additions across every defensive level via free agency and the draft after missing the playoffs the past two seasons. Parker, 34, is the youngest coordinator in team history and has been an NFL position coach since 2021, most recently serving as Philadelphia's passing game coordinator. Parker worked with Vic Fangio and entered the NFL with Green Bay under Mike Pettine, and he emphasizes preparation, learning, and a day-by-day approach.
