CeeDee Lamb feels comfortable speaking out about what he wants to see from the Cowboys
"When it comes to situations like these some players offer a party line. They note that the business of football is what it is and that they trust their front office to take care of what is in the best interest of the team. Lamb has hardly stepped a toe out of line on the Pickens front, but he has not been shy. He wants Pickens back and even said he would be fine if Pickens out-earns him on a hypothetical new deal."
"Those who have followed Lamb, whether at Oklahoma or in the six seasons that he has been in Dallas, know that he is hardly boisterous. He is not brash. He is hardly stirring the pot with his Pickens comments, but his advocacy is a further step out than we have seen him take normally (he certainly campaigned for Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott to get compensated when they were dealing with the team)."
CeeDee Lamb has repeatedly addressed the George Pickens contract situation and has advocated for Pickens' return. Lamb said he would be fine if Pickens out-earns him on a hypothetical new deal. Lamb is typically reserved, but his support for Pickens represents a bolder stance than usual; he previously campaigned for Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott to receive compensation. Lamb said he has always had the availability to advocate and that he feels comfortable in his space. Dak Prescott also said he would "get involved" if necessary. Players are increasingly using their platforms to express contract wishes as the Cowboys' extension approach evolves.
