DC Comics and Marvel Comics are teaming up for a significant crossover event featuring Batman and Deadpool. This collaboration, the first in over two decades, includes two one-shot specials: Batman/Deadpool #1, written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by Dan Mora, releasing in November 2025, and Deadpool/Batman #1, authored by Zeb Wells with artwork by Greg Capullo, launching on September 17, 2025. Both stories will include backup adventures featuring additional characters from their universes, though details remain undisclosed. DC's Jim Lee emphasized the special nature of such crossovers, requiring careful coordination between both companies.
It happens kind of once every generation of readers. I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions as to why... it is sort of finding that right moment for both companies.
Bruce and Wade felt like a fun combo. I'll be quite frank... It was nothing more complicated than that.
The timing has to be right in that you don't want to do these too often. You want them to feel special.
It's going to be a big deal. So you want the story, creatively, to warrant the hype of it all.
