Video: Hot Honey Chicken
"You can use your favorite store-bought hot honey, but it's so easy to make at home and only requires a few pantry ingredients. You're going to heat up some honey, cayenne pepper, and chile flakes, and let it infuse for about 15 minutes before you strain it. Beat chicken breast with a meat tenderizer until about a half inch thick."
"The secret to the chicken is in the coating. We're using corn flakes in this and a combination of Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic salt and onion powder. I really love to have it on a sandwich with some homemade ranch dressing and a little bit of green cabbage that's been tossed with some vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. Breaded with a seasoned cornflake mixture then baked, these chicken cutlets are spicy and sweet thanks to a drizzle of homemade hot honey."
Make a simple hot honey by heating honey with cayenne and chile flakes, infusing about 15 minutes, then straining. Pound chicken breasts to about a half inch thickness and season with salt and pepper. Dredge the chicken in flour, then egg beaten with hot sauce, and press into a coating of crushed corn flakes mixed with Parmesan, paprika, garlic salt, and onion powder. Bake the breaded cutlets until crisp. Serve on a sandwich with homemade ranch and shredded green cabbage tossed with vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper, finishing with a drizzle of hot honey.
