"Route 66, the "Mother Road" that starts in Chicago and passes through San Bernardino County to end at the Santa Monica Pier, turns 100 this year. U.S. Highway 66 was established on Nov. 11, 1926, so the actual anniversary is nine months away. But celebrations have already begun. The 1915 Cucamonga Service Station, about a mile from Klatch's cafe, was the site of an early centennial event. A caravan of historic cars traveling from Santa Monica to Chicago stopped there on Jan. 3."

And the Inland Empire 66ers are expected to have several Mother Road promotions during their 2026 season, according to representatives.
