Dillanos Coffee Roasters relaunched Batdorf & Bronson, returning an iconic Pacific Northwest coffee brand after acquiring the West Coast operations of Dancing Goats from Kaldi's Coffee. Batdorf & Bronson originated in Olympia in 1986 and grew to roasteries in Olympia and Atlanta before being unified under the Dancing Goats name in 2022 and then changing ownership in 2023. Dillanos executives cite the brand's regional legacy and personal inspiration from Batdorf & Bronson's roasting operations. The relaunch includes a visual redesign led by Dillanos' creative team under Emily Haney, with some blend names adjusted due to trademark restrictions.
"There's no better time or name to return to,"
"Batdorf & Bronson is part of The Pacific Northwest's coffee legacy. This brand meant something to the people who built it - and to the customers who loved it. We're honored to carry that torch forward."
"When we were just getting into roasting in 1992, and we were visiting their roasting facility, I said, 'I want to be like this some day,'"
