La Prima Espresso has opened its fifth cafe in Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood, returning to a location it last served over 20 years ago. The new shop, located next to Sciulli's Pizza, spans nearly 1,000 square feet and features a design reminiscent of other La Prima locations. The cafe aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for students and locals, particularly those from Carlow University across the street. Adrianna Moyer, the director of retail, emphasized the team’s passion for coffee and community connections in service.
"We wanted people to feel like this was their neighborhood shop - a place they're always welcome, a place to greet friends and meet coworkers on their way into work."
"We're excited to welcome students back into Oakland and share this new space with the community. We have an absolutely fantastic team working at this new location."
