Bentwood and GH Grinding & Brewing Launching the Vertical 75 Grinder
Briefly

The Vertical 75, a new commercial grinder from Bentwood and GH Grinding & Brewing Solutions, features 75-millimeter burrs, allowing for up to 5 grams per second of output. This nearly doubles the speed of the previous model, the Vertical 63, while maintaining an identical footprint. The design retains the vertical path for beans and includes an adjustment system for precise grind size measurements. Bentwood, founded in 2017, has previously launched in Europe and entered the U.S. market in 2021, enhancing its visibility in coffee equipment.
The Vertical 75 fits a pair of 75-millimeter burrs, allowing output up to 5 grams per second in the filter range of grind fineness, nearly double the output speed of the Vertical 63.
Gary Horne states, 'What we were looking for was some more speed.' He emphasizes that achieving speed doesn’t require higher motor speed, but optimizing the grinding chamber's output.
The Vertical 75 maintains the Vertical 63's straight-through vertical path, with an adjustment system that indicates the peak particle size in microns for accurate grind settings.
Initially launched in Europe, the Vertical 63 made its U.S. debut in 2021 through GH Grinding & Brewing Solutions, enhancing its market presence and accessibility.
