"On Wednesday, Philz unveiled its newest Bay Area coffee shop location at 1803 Santa Rita Rd. in Pleasanton, complete with a drive-thru option. The property was previously a KFC restaurant before it closed in 2023, according to Pleasanton Weekly. The new Philz store addition marks the chain's 79 th location as well as the second Philz to feature a drive-thru."
"The Fullerton store located at 520 North State College Blvd., also has a drive-thru, a Philz Coffee representative told SFGATE via email. Whether more Philz drive-thru locations will open around the Bay Area is unclear. The Philz Coffee representative could not comment on other locations at this time. The new opening comes after Philz Coffee sold the company in a $145 million deal to Los Angeles-based private equity firm Freeman Spogli in August."
