Bar Convent Brooklyn (BCB) celebrated its seventh anniversary with a vibrant gathering of spirits enthusiasts, highlighting the rise of lesser-known brands amidst an industry slowdown. Held on June 10-11, 2025, at Industry City, Brooklyn, the event featured numerous after-parties, focusing particularly on tequila, which dominated the space. Attendees enjoyed a diverse range of spirits including amaro, rum, and Slovakian whisky. Notably, innovative brands like Motonaga's amari and Copalli Rum stood out for their unique flavor profiles, emphasizing creativity and quality in the evolving spirits landscape.
The organic white bottling of Copalli Rum is perfect for Daiquiris, while their Cacao Rum is smooth, ideal solo or as a base in cocktails.
The label of the gorgeous amari line caught my eye at BCB, featuring flavors from ingredients like chicory and aloe, producing deep bitters.
