White Sox reliever Castro injures right knee in 9th

During a matchup against the New York Mets, Chicago White Sox reliever Miguel Castro sustained a knee injury while covering first base in the ninth inning. Despite initially getting up, he soon required assistance from trainers to leave the field. After the game, it was reported that he was on crutches and would undergo further evaluation. Manager Will Venable expressed concern for Castro's well-being, hoping for a positive outcome after witnessing his apparent pain. Castro has a 7.50 ERA in his six appearances this season for the White Sox.
Castro caught the toss from first baseman Miguel Vargas and beat Soto to first, but appeared to jam his right foot into the side of the bag.
Castro, who is 6-foot-7, initially got up and limped a few steps before being helped off the field.
You just don't want to see any of your guys down like that, obviously in a lot of pain. Just hope he comes out on the right side of this thing.
Castro was on crutches in the clubhouse after the game. He will undergo testing and be evaluated further.
