Austin Slater was activated from the injured list by the Chicago White Sox following a successful recovery from a knee surgery he underwent for a meniscus tear. Slater, who had a solid rehab stint batting .385, expressed his surprise at the rapid recovery process after initially fearing his season might be over. With Slater back, Brooks Baldwin was sent to Triple-A Charlotte. Manager Will Venable noted the need to manage playing time due to returning players and highlighted the importance of Baldwin gaining experience.
So imaging showed I had a slight tear, so I went under and had surgery and that was almost five weeks ago. So way faster than I thought.
Anytime you miss an extended period, you know, and watching the guys, you just want to get back out there to help any way you can.
