Rockies' Coors Field misery continues vs. road-challenged White Sox
Briefly

The White Sox defeated the Rockies 3-2 at Coors Field on July 4th. White Sox pitcher Adrian Houser delivered eight strong innings with a 1.60 ERA, allowing two unearned runs. Rockies right-fielder Tyler Freeman acknowledged Houser’s effectiveness. Chicago catcher Edgar Quero hit a solo homer, providing the winning run for the White Sox, ending their 17-game losing streak in one-run games. The Rockies continue to struggle at home, as both teams own the worst records in the majors, and the Rockies are on pace for significant losses this season.
We give him lots of credit; he did a great job pounding the strike zone. That's what he does. He throws that sinker and misses barrels. We couldn't find a way to get to him.
Houser pitched exceptionally tonight. His sinker kept us on the ground and he got a lot of soft contact.
Houser gave up two unearned runs on four hits. He walked two, struck out six and recorded 10 outs via groundballs.
The postgame fireworks brought a sellout crowd of 48,064 to Coors, and plenty of attempts at The Wave.
