Cleveland High in Reseda has experienced a remarkable turnaround in high school baseball, going from a 1-8 record to 10-8 with a nine-game winning streak. The team is now tied for first place in the West Valley League. Coach Peter Gunny attributes the improvement to better pitching, defense, and offense. Key players include All-City player Joshua Pearlstein, sophomore pitcher Xander Guiley, and Sierra Canyon transfer Shiloh Wickliffe. Freshman Elliot Schoenwald contributes as a starting center fielder and relief pitcher.
