The Kane County State's Attorney's Office has resumed full in-person operations after addressing air conditioning issues at the Kane County Judicial Center. The office, which had shifted to remote work due to excessive indoor heat since April 29, can now provide all walk-in services without appointments for criminal protective orders. This restoration of services follows a $2 million renovation project to improve the judicial center's air conditioning, funded by American Rescue Plan and Building Capital funds, completing necessary upgrades to enhance indoor climate control and air quality.
