Lopes played 1,207 games for the Dodgers, hitting .262 with 99 home runs and 418 stolen bases. He led the league in steals in 1975 and 1976 and won a Gold Glove in 1978. Lopes was part of the Dodgers' 1981 World Series championship team before being traded to the A's in 1982, marking the start of his journeyman career.
