Stephen Mervis is joining the Chicago Bulls as senior vice president of basketball operations. He will report to Bryson Graham, who was hired as executive vice president of basketball operations. Mervis is wrapping up a deal after working for the Orlando Magic for 12 years. His roles in Orlando included special assistant to the general manager, assistant director of basketball strategy, director of basketball strategy, vice president of basketball strategy and evaluation, and assistant general manager starting in July 2024. Mervis previously worked as a basketball operations intern with the Indiana Pacers in 2013-14. The Bulls also added Acie Law IV as vice president of player personnel, continuing a front office overhaul focused on rebuilding and cap and trade expertise.
